Lions Park Carpinteria Wedding – Stephanie & Bryan

Lions Park Carpinteria Wedding

Last month I was super happy to be at Stephanie and Bryan’s wedding at Lions Park in Carpinteria. Stephanie had only just found me barely two months beforehand and fortunately I still had her wedding date available. After I met them both together for their engagement session, I knew it was going to be an awesome wedding. Stephanie and Bryan are so easy going. I took them to a beautiful spot for their engagement session. The walk there was the unintentional test of just how cool they were. It was freezing out, and super windy, but they both managed amazingly with zero complaints all while looking perfectly content in their photos.

The wedding Day

On the day of their wedding, I arrived at Lions Park Carpinteria and walked around the property to get some more ideas on where I wanted to shoot. I then went to the bridal suite to see Stephanie and to capture some of her details as well as the getting ready photos. Once we were done and Stephanie was in her GORGEOUS gown, we found the perfect spot for her and Bryan to have their first look. The first look is always one of my favorite things at a wedding. I love being able to see that sweet little intimate moment. I was able to capture literally my new favorite picture ever! Just looking at it makes me want to start laughing… in a good way!

The Ceremony

As a violinist played music, Stephanie’s dad walked her down the aisle towards her soon to be husband, Bryan. Surrounded by all of their family and friends, the were married underneath a giant tree, on a perfect August day. It was a beautiful ceremony.

After the ceremony, we captured the family portraits, then all of the bridal party photos. Once we were finished with the groups, it was time to focus solely on Stephanie and Bryan. Lions Park Carpinteria has a beautiful gazebo that looks amazing in pictures. I love some of the images we got of them on the steps. My favorite photos from their couples portraits (aside from the one above) has to be of them surrounded by the orange flowers. The haze of the setting sun makes the shot even more epic. I love how they came out!

The Reception

After the wedding party was announced and they all made their entrance, Stephanie and Bryan came in and went straight into their first dance together. Stephanie then danced with her father, where they had some really cute and funny dance moves! Bryan danced with him mom next, and then they opened up the dance floor for all of their guests.

The rest of the wedding was almost non stop dancing. Several people had dance-offs, and the floor was rarely empty. Stephanie and Bryan stopped for a bit to cut the cake before continuing the evening partying with all their family and friends. I was able to sneak them away for a quick little photo in front of that gazebo again, but then they got back to partying.

Stephanie and Bryan’s wedding was exactly as I hoped it would be, they were so cool to be around, and they’re such a sweet and thoughtful couple. I’m excited to share the rest of their photos from their wedding at Lions Park in Carpinteria… check them out!
