Oxnard Beach Engagement Session

A couple weeks ago around Christmas I met up with Kelsey and Jon to photograph their Oxnard beach engagement session. I was really worried that we’d have to reschedule due to weather, but fortunately the rain didn’t come that day. Not only did it not rain, but we had the most perfect weather and such an amazingly gorgeous sunset! Kelsey and Jon are so cute together, they were super easy going (my kinda people), and weren’t afraid to get dirty! Kelsey’s hair color reminded me of a mermaid and she fit quite well with the beautiful sunset.

Kelsey and Jon have been dating now for about 5 years. Over Father’s Day they were on a cruise with their family and that’s where Jon planned to propose. He had everyone wear shirts that spelled out “will you marry me”, Jon of course was the “me”. Such a fun engagement idea and I love that his dad was cool enough to relinquish the father’s day spotlight for their proposal. Their wedding is planned for this October at the Palm Garden Hotel in Thousand Oaks.
