Ventura Park Wedding Elopement

Harmony and Guillermo had a small wedding elopement at a park in Ventura. Originally they were going to have their ceremony at the Santa Barbara Courthouse but a change of plans brought them to Ventura. And luckily we were able to find the perfect park for their intimate wedding ceremony. It was a beautiful day out and the park wasn’t crowded which made their small wedding feel more private. Harmony and Guillermo had about 20 of their closest friends and family come out to celebrate. A couple of years ago I photographed Harmony’s best friend, Chelsey’s wedding, so when Harmony was looking for a photographer, Chelsey referred her to me! Chelsey and her husband, Tyler were also the maid of honor and best man for Harmony and Guillermo so the whole day felt that much more special.

They had an intimate wedding elopement with only immediate family and their best friends attending. Following the ceremony and family photos, we enjoyed some cupcakes from Nothing Bundt Cake. Afterward, we walked around the park for their couple’s portraits. This park has some great areas that don’t look like you’re in Ventura. And I love being able to find unique spots in unexpected places that make it feel like somewhere else entirely!

Harmony and Guillermo are so easy-going I really enjoy photographing their wedding. It felt like I was just hanging out with friends at a park in Ventura even though I was working. That’s why I love my job.

Here are some of my favorites from their wedding elopement.
