Conejo Botanical Gardens Engagement Photos

Of all the gardens and parks in Thousand Oaks, Conejo Botanical Gardens is one of the best! As a Thousand Oaks wedding photographer, I love bringing my couples through the trails of these gardens. And for Brianna and Jerred, I knew that Conejo Botanical Gardens engagement photos would be the perfect way to document their love story. From the glow of golden hour to the warmth of the setting sun, this session is one of my favorites!

Brianna & Jerred

Working with Brianna and Jerred was such a pleasure! They were so great during our session, really letting their love for each other shine through in their photos. Being vulnerable with your emotions can be difficult while getting your picture taken, but these two let loose, had a few good laughs, and had many intimate moments. They were amazing to work with as a Thousand Oaks wedding photographer! I am so excited for their wedding next year at Hummingbird Nest Ranch, It will be such an incredible day!

Brianna & Jerred started their engagement session in the Desert Garden. This area is one of my favorites, as it has a large variety of cacti and other drought-resistant foliage. It is a unique look that you don’t see all over Thousand Oaks. Offering your images a desert-vibe, while you were actually enjoying the mild climate of the west coast.

Afterward, we headed to a more wooded area for truly romantic engagement photos. There weren’t many people in the gardens, so Brianna and Jerred were able to enjoy a few intimate moments alone together as I captured all of the cuteness! During the session I offer direction so you feel comfortable, however, the best images tend to be the ones when you forget I’m there and are just enjoying each other.

Finally, the sun began to set. Giving Brianna and Jerred a warm, fiery glow that framed their silhouettes. These golden hour pictures were some of my favorites! The dimension that was created as the sun shined through the foliage made it appear like they were on fire – really capturing how hot these two are together! 😉
