Crowne Plaza Ventura Beach Wedding Photography
Getting ready
Crystal got ready in one of the rooms at the resort, surrounded by her huge bridal party, and there was such an exciting vibe. She wore a beautiful gown, and had a separate one for the reception, and she looked so stunning in both.
The ceremony
The ceremony took place on the beach in front of the Crowne Plaza. It was right on the sand, which was so nice because it was a beautiful sunny day. The ceremony began with a beautiful reading, and finished with the kiss. It was a moving ceremony, full of so much love and sweet little moments. At one point Jamie asked Crystal’s daughter if she would take him as her dad. That caused so many happy tears, and was so cute to witness!
After the ceremony, we took all the family and bridal party photos, which was easier than expected since they had a HUGE group. Then we went on to the sand for couples portraits, which I love doing. I got some awesome photos of them on the beach – it was so perfect out the weather was all sunshine and blue skies, it was a beautiful day.
The reception
Crowne Plaza Ventura Beach is a beachfront hotel, which is one of the only oceanfront properties in all of Ventura. And it’s got such a beautiful atmosphere, especially being able to see the sunset on the ocean from the reception room on the top floor.
For the reception, the couple had planned live music and cocktails for their guests, and everyone loved it. Jamie and Crystal had a simple cake cutting ceremony, and then enjoyed their first dance together. Watching them dance was so sweet and romantic. When they were done, their guests joined them on the dance floor, and the party got started. The DJ kept everyone entertained all evening.
