Crowne Plaza Ventura Vow Renewal
Liz and Juan have already been married for 25 years. Recently Juan had surprised Liz by planning their 25 year vow renewal at the Crowne Plaza in Ventura. When I first talked to Liz over the phone I immediately liked her.
She was so sweet and I felt like we clicked really well. A few days later I met both of them to talk about their wedding day plans. When they originally had their wedding they didn’t do anything special for it and didn’t have any good images that captured their wedding. This vow renewal allowed them to have the wedding they never had, and beautiful pictures they’ll be able to cherish for years to come.
Liz shared with me some details about their vow renewal. Here’s what she said.
What are you most looking forward to on the day?
We are so excited to be able to restate our commitment to each other and renew our marriage vows for our 25th wedding anniversary. This is the wedding we never had and being able to do it in front of our loved ones and having our children and grandchildren be a part of the ceremony is a blessing.
What inspired your wedding décor?
We loved the simplicity of a rustic look for our vow renewal. It fits perfectly with our style.
The theme we were going for was simple and inviting. We decided to go for a very simple rustic look with wood, eucalyptus and cream/ivory/blush color scape. To us this theme is very classy and elegant and creates a cozy, welcoming environment.
Why did you pick the venues that you chose?
We had originally planned a vow renewal in Hawaii, but with Covid, plans had to be changed. Juan surprised me with booking the venue and planning the vow renewal. He wanted something close to the ocean. We loved that the venue is right on the beach and not too far away from our home town. This venue allows us to still have the destination vow renewal we were wanting and it is close enough for our family and friends to join us.
What is your favorite feature about your wedding venue?
We love that it is right on the beach. Ventura is such a beautiful town and the Crowne Plaza had everything we were wanting. With us living out of town it has been amazingly helpful to have an event coordinator, Stephanie Lundquist to take care of all the details and refer us to the best vendors. We would of been lost and very stressed without her.
Is there any particular vendor that you are really excited to have for your day?
Yes, You!! We are so excited to have an amazing professional capture all the special moments of our day for us. We have never had professional photos taken of us, so when we started planning my one wish was to have a professional photographer. This was so important to me and I was so happy that Juan made it happen!
Which part of your wedding did you want to WOW your guests?
No specific part, we just want our guest to know how much we appreciate all their love and support and want them to have a great time throughout the day.

We are very grateful and excited to be able to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary with our loved ones..
