Sherwood Country Club Thousand Oaks

Sherwood Country Club Thousand Oaks might just be the perfect spot to host your summer wedding. Stately and timeless, Sherwood Country Club is full of romantic vistas and comfortable amenities. As a Santa Barbara photographer I always love getting to shoot at this elegant wedding venue, and for so many reasons! Here are the details of this classic California venue.

A Brief History of Sherwood Country Club Thousand Oaks

The history of Santa Monica Valley starts and ends with Hollywood. Countless films and TV shows were filmed right here in the club, and it makes sense why. And with red brick, white columns, and climbing ivy make this Club feels timeless. Big names in golf have also had their tour of Sherwood Country Club, including star player Tiger Woods. Sherwood Country Club is proud of its history and proud to share its richly cultivated, secluded acres with friends traveling through Southern CA.

Popular Venues for Wedding Ceremonies at Sherwood Country Club Thousand Oaks

Ceremonies can also be hosted either indoors or outdoors. However, several brides choose the recently renovated (2023) Grand Ballroom for an indoor ceremony. Above all, the glittering chandeliers and white columns create an amazing backdrop for you to say “I do.”

Likewise, an outdoor ceremony is also a wonderful option. It is popular to have the ceremony on the covered patio or the lawn. Whether or not you choose to include the gazebo, you’ll be surrounded by green shade trees, gardens, and mountain vistas.

Cost Considerations

The Grand Ballroom costs only $5,000 for a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday six-hour block. An outdoor event on the Croquet Lawn is $9,000. Catering packages are required with rental, and a variety of packages including cocktails, hor d’oeuvres, and bar are available. Food and beverage minimums start at $10,000.

Because costs are dependent on season, day, and the timeframe of your reservation, it is recommended to reach out for a consultation to determine exact pricing.

Other Considerations at Sherwood Country Club

A lot of people don’t realize this but you actually do not need to be a member of the Sherwood Country Club to host your wedding here; it is open to all. A day-of coordinator will be assigned upon reservation. In addition, valet parking, a cappuccino bar, a champagne toast, and other amenities are available. Ask your consultant for more information about personalizing your wedding.
