Spring Engagement Pictures In Almond Orchards

Spring engagement pictures in Central California always make for timeless couples photography. And if you are able to time it right with the almond orchards blooms, then you are in for a dreamy engagement session! Although these blossoms are only out for a few weeks out of the year, Shannon and Harrison were able to capture their love story in them.

Shannon & Harrison’s Spring Engagement Pictures

Getting to see this Central Valley almond orchard in bloom was magical. And getting to shoot an engagement session there was even better! I met with Shannon and Harrison at one of the many almond orchards in Central Valley and it was the perfect day to take photos. The weather was crisp and clear. In addition, we had such a great time together. Shannon and Harrison were so natural in front of the camera and needed little direction. They were absolutely amazing together! I can’t wait for their wedding this August in Ventura.

As well as them being so genuine to capture, Shannon and Harrison chose such great outfits for their engagement photos. Notice how the couple wore neutral hues that complimented their skin tones? Doing this brought the attention of the photo to the couple, while not distracting from the natural beauty around them. The styles may be trending for now, but the color scheme give the photos a more timeless feel.

Why Central Valley Almond Orchard Engagements?

Choosing to have your spring engagement pictures in California’s Central Valley almond orchards may just be the best choice you make while wedding planning! California has over 1.5 million acres of almond trees. However, these orchards only bloom for a few weeks a year in late February and early March. When they do bloom you will be in awe of the clouds of white they form and the fragrant blossoms.

In addition to an amazing day date, visiting an almond orchard for engagement photos is a great way to get away from wedding planning and just enjoy each other. I love capturing couples in these orchards because of the serene and whimsical feel that comes through in every photo. There is just something so beautiful about a couple running down an aisle of grass lined with blooming trees. The blossoms add more interest to your engagement photos, while maintaining the timeless elegance of your love.
