Ventura City Hall Engagement Session – Melissa & Russell

Ventura City Hall Engagement Session

Last month Melissa and Russell met with me for their engagement session at Ventura City Hall. The gorgeous Roman-inspired building overlooks picture-perfect downtown Ventura all the way to the Pacific Ocean. The building has an off-white marble facade, surrounded by impressive Doric columns, and a stairway leading to oversized double doors with an ornate steel fence. It makes for a really nice location for an engagement session. Before heading over to the City Hall, Melissa, Russell, and I started at a nearby park for some more variety. I always love being able to go to more than one location during an engagement session! Especially when there’s such a big difference between the two locations. The park had some really beautiful sunlight filtering in between the trees.

Melissa and Russell had originally planned on getting married last year, but Covid had other plans. They rescheduled their wedding for this April (this weekend!) and the date is now very quickly approaching. Melissa and Russell will be celebrating their wedding at Sterling Hills Golf Club in Camarillo. The club recently built a nice outdoor reception space which and outdoor space is nice even pre-Covid. I’m so excited for them to finally be able to celebrate their wedding together.

Here are some of my favorite photographs from their session at the City Hall in Ventura.

I’m so excited for their wedding and to share even more pictures afterward. Check back later to see the images from their wedding day!
