Ventura Beach Crowne Plaza Wedding

Jenn and Kenny had an intimate ceremony at the Crowne Plaza in Ventura. Their wedding was on the outdoor patio overlooking the ocean. It was really windy out but Jenn had the perfect dress that flowed beautifully with the gusts of wind. They didn’t have anyone else attend their wedding which I thought made it feel more special. After their ceremony, we went up to the ballroom where they cut their cake and shared a champagne toast.

We had a lot more time than you’d have at a traditional wedding for their couple’s portraits. We walked from the Crowne Plaza all the way down to Surfer’s Point and stopped several times along the way. It was great having the time to get to know them both better, since we weren’t in a rush it made the experience so much more relaxed.

I found some amazing areas during their couple’s portraits and I’m really loving how they turned out. I’ve photographed many weddings at the Crowne Plaza in Ventura and I’ve photographed several sessions at the beach there, but with Jenn and Kenny I tried to view the area in a different way to capture something more unique. Some of my new favorite wedding images here are with them. One of the things I pride myself on is being able to make an area look like you’re somewhere else entirely. There are several images that I captured where I think it would be difficult to tell where we were, and of course in addition to some that are very recognizable. I love being able to provide variety to my couples.
