Villa and Vine Santa Barbara Wedding
I was finally able to meet Ashley and Ryan in person for their wedding at Villa and Vine in Santa Barbara. They had hired me for their wedding a few months before Covid but we had never officially met. Like many couples, their original wedding date had to be postponed to this year. Even though I never formally met them I could tell by Ashley’s Instagram posts that I’d like them, and I wasn’t disappointed. In fact, they were even cooler than I had expected them to be! They were so easy-going, funny, down-to-earth, basically my favorite kinda people.
I asked Ashley and Ryan to include a little about their wedding and here’s what they shared.
What are you most looking forward to on the day?
Seeing all of our family and friends after being separated from one another for so long. Our families have never met, so this is the first time everyone is coming together.
What inspired your wedding décor?
Santa Barbara! We love the city and wanted to lean into the Spanish/coastal style with a little boho flair
What is your favorite feature about your wedding venue?
The arches and open air courtyard. We loved the central location and accessibility, and as soon as we walked into the space it felt like this charming oasis hidden in plain sight.
Tell us about the food/drink at your wedding.
It’s Greek cuisine with a modern California flair with a focus on high quality, locally sourced produce and ingredients. Most of the wine is local, from Petros Winery in Los Olivos.
Which part of your wedding did you want to WOW your guests?
I’m just so proud of the life Ryan and I have built together in California over the past five years, and this wedding is a moment for us to share a place that is so special to us with the people we love most.
