Camarillo Ranch & Rancho Baila Sol Wedding
Last month I got to be a part of Debbie and Damon’s fairytale story. I photographed their wedding that was 40 years in the making, and I’m so honored that I was the one chosen to capture their happily ever after. Their ceremony was at the historic Camarillo Ranch followed by their reception at the gorgeous Rancho Baila Sol in Santa Rosa Valley.
When I first received the email from Debbie looking for a wedding photographer, she shared this with me:
“We first dated back in the mid 80’s. We both married other people and had our children, His boys are 24, 17, and 16, and my son is 25. After my Dad’s funeral in February of 2020, Damon was in California visiting his parents and contacted me to share lunch. The attraction was instant and powerful, and we recently celebrated our 11 month anniversary. We have been engaged since May 16th, 2020. Our wedding and reception will be in the historic barn at the Camarillo Ranch. We feel that our love has brought us full circle and we can’t wait to be married. Our love story is unique, and we would love for our photographer to capture that essence.”
I asked Debbie and Damon to include a little about their wedding and here’s what they shared.
What are you most looking forward to on the day?
Marrying my soul mate. Seeing all of our treasured family and friends. Champagne!!
What inspired your wedding décor?
We love history and we wanted a simple theme.
What is your favorite feature about your wedding venue?
That the Camarillo Ranch is a historical site with beautiful trees and a very old barn.
