San Ysidro Ranch Wedding Montecito

Have you been to San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito? It’s gotta be one of the prettiest venues in the area. It’s not that small but has such an intimate and secluded feel to it, and the landscaping is out of a fairytale. I’ve photographed a wedding there in the past but haven’t been back in a while and was once again in awe.

When Melika and Tom contacted me about photographing their intimate wedding I was happy to work with them on something so meaningful. I’ve been photographing them for several years now but for various types of fun and crazy family sessions. These aren’t your Sears Portrait Studio type of people. The word ‘traditional’ would never come up when talking about their style or personalities. So when they asked me to photograph their relatively traditional vow renewal I was super excited, and very curious how it would all turn out.

We started the day with Melika wearing her mother’s wedding gown for some photos of them together. Then the whole family gathered for some more portraits before Melika changed into her dress for the ceremony. The ceremony was beautiful. Tom’s father officiated the wedding and it was filled with so many personal details about Tom and Melika’s lives together. As their three little ones ran around in a sea of bubbles, they renewed their vows to each other.

After the ceremony, we captured some couple’s portraits before they went to dinner and ended their evening.
